A legendary all-night horror marathon at Tyneside Cinema with two sessions on 24 and 31 October, featuring horror classics and cult favourites.
Tyneside Cinema is bringing back its Halloween All-Nighters on Saturday 24 October and Saturday 31 October, two back-to-back horror marathons that run from the rising of the full moon through to the break of daylight. It's a return of the cinema's long-running all-night tradition, which they describe as rising again from the haunted alleys of Pilgrim Street.
The two nights are different. The first, on 24 October, is a broad mix of horror classics, cult favourites and big-screen scares. The second, on 31 October, is themed 'Nightmare on Pilgrim Street' and pits horror icons Michael Myers, Patrick Bateman, Ghostface and Freddy Krueger against each other in a slasher showdown. Each film is booked separately, so you can pick and choose which ones you want to see rather than committing to the whole night.
It's worth remembering where this is happening. Tyneside Cinema, at 10 Pilgrim Street, is the North East's biggest independent cinema, and its Art Deco building dates back to 1937. It's a proper cinema, with a varied programme of UK and international releases and cafes and bars on site, so there's plenty of coffee and food to keep you going if you're planning to stay up until dawn.

If you'd rather pick and choose, the individual films are priced £10 for the first, £8 for the second, £7 for the third, and £5 each for the fourth and fifth. The first all-nighter is on Saturday 24 October and the second on Saturday 31 October, both at Tyneside Cinema, 10 Pilgrim Street, NE1 6QG.
