Violent Soho perform live at Foreshore Park as part of the Rolling Sets festival, bringing together live music, surf, skate and beach culture.
Violent Soho are playing Foreshore Park in Newcastle East on Saturday 5 December, starting at 7:00 pm. It's a single-act bill, with the band taking the full slot.
The show is part of Rolling Sets, presented by triple j and Ripcurl. This year the series has moved to Foreshore Park as part of its biggest expansion to date, bringing together live music, surf, skate and beach culture in one spot. It's a bit of a shift from the usual indoor gig, so it's worth keeping in mind what you're walking into.
The venue is a grassed area, which means you'll be under the open sky rather than under a roof. There are bars, food stalls and merchandise on site, so you can sort out drinks and a bite to eat without leaving the grounds. One practical thing to have on your radar: because it's on grass, some parts of the site may be difficult to navigate in a wheelchair.

With the music starting at 7:00 pm on a Saturday night in early December, it's a proper summer evening gig. If you're planning to go, just remember it's an outdoor park setting, so bring a jacket if the breeze picks up and keep the grass underfoot in mind.
