A Christmas choral show by The TEN Tenors, combining classical, pop and festive music in a live performance.
The TEN Tenors bring their Christmas show, A Not So Silent Night, to the Civic Theatre on Saturday 12 December. It's a choral night built around the group's usual mix of classical, pop and festive music, and it's one of their few dates in Newcastle this season.
If you've never come across them, the group is one of Australia's most successful international touring acts, known for a repertoire that jumps between opera, pop, rock, disco and musical theatre. They've been at it since 1995, playing well over 3,000 performances across 37 countries. Along the way they've recorded 15 studio albums with worldwide sales of over 1.2 million, and they've raised more than A$11 million for charity. In December 2025, they were awarded the Key to the City of Brisbane by Mayor Adrian Schrinner to mark their 30th anniversary.
A Not So Silent Night is their festive offering, and it leans into the same cross-genre approach they're known for, blending classical, pop and Christmas music into one live show. Musical Director Mikey Edwards, a long-time tenor himself, describes Christmas as the group's favourite time of year, and says he looks forward to seeing and hearing the audience sing along to their favourite Christmas tunes.
