Country music festival Strummingbird headlined by Bailey Zimmerman, with Tyler Childers and other acts at Foreshore Park.
Bailey Zimmerman is playing Foreshore Park on Saturday 17 October, as part of the Strummingbird festival. It's a big day for country music in Newcastle, with Zimmerman sharing the bill with Tyler Childers, Cooper Alan, James Johnston, Stella Lefty and Dexter and the Moonrocks. Strummingbird is billed as Australia's largest touring country festival, so the main stage will be the focus for most of the day, with these six acts taking turns.
There's more to it than just the main stage, though. The festival includes the Silver Spur Saloon Bar, described as an 'anything goes' space where cold drinks and good times flow, and local pop-ups at select locations across the site. It's set up to be family-friendly, with a bar, carpark, coach parking, lockers and public toilets on hand, so you can bring the kids along rather than leaving them at home. Between the sets, you'll have the option of heading back to the music or spending some time at the bar and the pop-ups.

The whole thing is at the Newcastle Foreshore, 32 Wharf Road, Newcastle East, 2300. It's a Saturday, so you've got the rest of the weekend to recover from it. If you're planning to go, the date is 17 October 2026.
