NO CIGAR bring their indie, surf and alternative rock sound to the Hamilton Station Hotel in Newcastle as part of their Aussie Tour.
NO CIGAR are playing the Hamilton Station Hotel on Sunday 20 September, one date in a thirteen-show Australian tour they're running this spring. It's their biggest run to date and their fourth time heading across the ditch for a headline tour, so they're well-acquainted with these shores by now.
They describe their sound as 'semi rock' — a blend of indie, surf and alternative rock built around a rhythm-driven, emotionally resonant core. It's a niche they've carved out for themselves, and it's earned them a loyal following across Australia, the UK, the US and Europe. The set is expected to span the breadth of their catalogue, so you'll hear songs from across their records rather than just the latest one. They're also planning to slot in a few unreleased numbers, which gives the Australian dates a first look at what's coming next for the band.

The Newcastle show is an intimate one, with a room capacity of around 300. It starts at 7:00pm and is expected to wrap up around 8:15pm, so it's a relatively early one on a Sunday night. Tickets are A$43, and the venue is the Hamilton Station Hotel at 2-6 Beaumont St, Islington.
