Newcastle Pro Wrestling – 15th Anniversary

Newcastle Pro Wrestling are celebrating fifteen years with an anniversary night at the Civic Theatre on Thursday 15 October. It's a bit of a milestone for them — fifteen years of running shows in the city — and they've built the whole evening around live wrestling action and larger-than-life characters. If you've never seen a pro wrestling show in person, that's a good place to start: it's as much about the performance and the personalities as it is about the matches themselves.

They describe the night as an anniversary built around live wrestling action and larger-than-life characters, which is exactly what you'll get. The focus is on the ring, with the matches and the characters that drive them taking centre stage. It's the kind of show that works best when you're in the room, where the energy of the crowd is part of the whole thing.

It's taking place at the Civic Theatre, 375 Hunter Street, in the heart of Newcastle. The show starts at 8pm, and tickets are from A$25. If you've been following them for a while, this is the one they've been building towards; if you're new to it, it's a fair way to see what fifteen years of local wrestling looks like.
