Newcastle Pro Wrestling - 15th Anniversary

Newcastle Pro Wrestling is marking its 15th anniversary with a show at Newcastle City Hall on Friday 9 October, running from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm. It's a bit of a milestone for them — fifteen years of running shows in the city — and they've put together a card that hits the two main styles of the night: a heavyweight title match and a tag team match. If you've never been to one of their shows, that's a good way to get the gist of it in one sitting.

They're billing the night as family-friendly, with mild simulated violence and no swearing, so it's the kind of thing you can bring the kids to without worrying about what they'll hear. The wrestling itself is all choreographed, and the whole evening is built around that — the drama and the action of the ring rather than anything that'll leave you needing to cover your children's ears.

If you want more than just a seat, there's a premium ticket option. It adds a pre-show meet and greet with the wrestlers and a souvenir programme to take home, and it kicks off roughly an hour before the first bell, so you'll be in the building well before the main action starts. It's a good shout if you're bringing the family and want to get the kids sorted before the crowd fills in.

The show is at Newcastle City Hall, 290 King Street, Newcastle, NSW 2300, on Friday 9 October from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm. You can find tickets and more details at newcastleprowrestling.com.au/events/15th-anniversary.
