The Newcastle Music Festival returns to the Harold Lobb Concert Hall from 6 to 16 August, bringing another new programme of fine music to the city. It's an annual fixture that pulls together local artists and guests from around the world, and this year's bill covers classical, jazz and world music, with dance, piano duos, operatic arias, lieder and flamenco also in the mix. The 2026 edition is described as offering musical excellence to passionate audiences, with Deborah Humble named Festival Patron and President Emeritus Professor John Rostas at the helm.
