Kirsty Webeck is back at the Civic Theatre on Friday 24 July, bringing her new show Lost For Words to Newcastle. It's a stand-up comedy set, and she's billed as Australia's champion of cheerful comedy, which gives you a fair idea of the mood she aims for on stage.
This is a return to the road for her. She spent 2025 on a big Australian tour, and Lost For Words is the follow-up that takes her back out across the country. If you've seen her before, this is new material; if you haven't, it's a good place to start.
Outside of her own shows, Webeck has a fair bit of TV and radio behind her. She's appeared on Guy Montgomery's Guy Mont-Spelling Bee and Question Everything, and you'll recognise her voice from ABC Radio's Thank God It's Friday with Charlie Pickering. Those are the kinds of spots where she's worked as a guest or a regular, rather than the headliner, so seeing her hold the whole night is a different thing entirely.
