Solo exhibition by Peter Mottershead exploring the relationship between human order, natural systems and environmental forces.
Peter Mottershead brings a new body of work to Cstudios Art Gallery from 26 September to 10 October, in a solo exhibition titled Confluence of Order and Chaos. It's a fair stretch of time to see it, so there's plenty of room to drop in whenever suits you over those two weeks.
The exhibition is built around a new collection of work that looks at the relationship between human order, natural systems and environmental forces. It's a broad set of ideas to pull together, and the title Confluence of Order and Chaos points to where they meet—the point where the things we try to organise and the things that happen on their own run into each other. If you've followed Mottershead's work before, you'll recognise that as the kind of territory he likes to work in.
Because it's a solo show, the whole space is dedicated to his practice, and the new material is what's on display here. It's a good chance to see a recent body of work in one go rather than in bits and pieces.
