A two-hour hands-on bonsai workshop led by expert Mason, where participants create their own tree and enjoy a complimentary drink.
Bonsai & Brews comes to Foghorn Brewery on Sunday 27 September, a two-hour workshop that turns the ancient art of bonsai into a beginner-friendly afternoon. It's run by bonsai expert Mason, who brings thirty years of experience and a good dose of humour to the table, so you're in safe hands even if you've never touched a plant in your life.
Over the course of the session, Mason walks you through the three main stages of starting a bonsai: potting, shaping and wiring. You'll get to pick your own tree from the selection on hand, and by the time the two hours are up, you'll have it wired and a solid grasp of how to keep it thriving long after you've taken it home. Everything you need is provided, and there's a complimentary drink to sip on while you work.
It's a hands-on afternoon, so you'll be doing the work yourself rather than just watching a demonstration. You'll leave with the tree you chose, wired and ready, and the knowledge to look after it.
