Australian country music artist Andrew Swift performs live at The Stag & Hunter Hotel in Newcastle.
Andrew Swift plays the Stag & Hunter Hotel on Friday 9 October, with the set starting at 8:00pm and expected to wrap up around 9:00pm. It's a single-bill night, so he's the only name on the poster.
Swift is one of the biggest names in Australian country music right now. He's picked up three Golden Guitar Awards, including Male Artist of the Year in 2023, and has put four ARIA #1 albums behind him, with more than 9 million streams. He's built his reputation on the kind of soaring anthems and heartfelt storytelling that have made him a regular on the Australian country circuit, playing everything from major festivals to CMA Fest in Nashville.
His debut album, Call Out For The Cavalry (2019), earned him Alt Country Album of the Year and New Talent of the Year, and The Art of Letting Go went on to become the fifth highest-selling Australian Country Music album of 2021. His most recent record, Lightning Strikes and Neon Nights (2023), was produced by Matt Fell and mixes his usual grit with retro soundscapes and contemporary rhythms. Over the years he's shared stages with The Wolfe Brothers, Catherine Britt, Amber Lawrence, Sara Storer, Andrew Farriss and Shannon Noll, and he's the official ambassador for Gundagai's Dog on the Tuckerbox.
