Weekly Tuesday evening outdoor yoga class for all ages and levels, taught by Small World Yoga near the park's volleyball courts.
Yoga in the Park is back at Centennial Park this season, running every Tuesday from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. The series kicks off Tuesday, April 14, and continues through Tuesday, October 20, so it's a long stretch that carries you from the first warm days of spring right into the middle of autumn. If you're looking for a way to get outside and move during the week, this is one of the easiest ways to do it in the city.
The classes are run by the Centennial Park Conservancy as an open-air community wellness meetup, and they're taught by Small World Yoga. They're open to all ages and levels, so you don't need to be a regular practitioner to join in. The sessions tend to lean on vinyasa flow and gentle hatha, and families are welcome, which means you can bring your kids along rather than finding a sitter first. It's a low-pressure environment where the focus is on showing up and moving in the fresh air.
Finding the group is pretty straightforward. You'll want to head to Centennial Park and look for the spot near 31st Ave N and Park Plaza, right next to the volleyball courts. That's where everyone gathers, and since it's a recurring weekly thing, it's easy to make a habit of itโjust a mat and a bit of space in the grass on a Tuesday evening. The classes run throughout the warm season, so you can drop in once in a while or keep coming back all the way through October.
