Toys for Tots

Lane Motor Museum is running a Toys for Tots donation drive from November 5 to November 7, with the museum open 10 AM to 5 PM each day. It's a straightforward trade: bring in a new, unwrapped toy worth $5 or more, and you get in free. You'll get a voucher on the spot that you can use that same day.

If you're not already familiar, the museum is a working collection and one of the few in the country that specializes in European cars. It's a good spot for a casual outing, especially if you're bringing kids along. Beyond the main floor, they run two programs for preschool learners aged three to five. Make & Model lets them learn about the current exhibits and then create a museum-worthy piece of their own, and Race to Read is a transportation-themed story time that wraps up with an activity and a game.

Between the cars and the kids' programs, it's a place that works well for families. The drive is a simple way to get in while helping out—just make sure the toy is new, unwrapped, and valued at $5 or more. The museum is at 702 Murfreesboro Pike, Nashville, TN 37210, and the drive runs November 5, 6, and 7 from 10 AM to 5 PM.
