Indie rock and alternative pop band The Wrecks perform live at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville, with support from Worry Club and Kid Sistr.
The Wrecks play Brooklyn Bowl Nashville on Tuesday, November 10, with Worry Club and Kid Sistr opening. It's a stop on their Finally Outside tour, and they're bringing the full bill to the 3rd Avenue North spot.
If you're not familiar with them, there's a bit of a story to how they came together. The band hails from rural Wellsville, New York, a place with very little of a local music scene. Frontman Nick Anderson built the group from the ground up, recruiting Aaron Kelley, Billy Nally, and Nick 'Schmizz' Schmidt over the internet. Since then, their top five Spotify tracks have racked up more than 140 million listens, and their first single became a Top 40 Alternative Radio hit.
They're touring behind their sophomore album, Sonder, which is out now. The most recent single, "Things You Make Me Do," is the lead track on the deluxe version of the record, and it finds the band evolving sonically and lyrically while staying close to their alternative-pop roots. That's the sound you'll hear live: indie rock with a pop lean, and with Worry Club and Kid Sistr on the bill, the whole night stays in that same neighborhood.
