A festive neighborhood shopping crawl through Germantown with local and small businesses opening their doors for shopping and socialising.
The Golden Slipper is hosting its Fall Crawl in Germantown on Saturday, October 10, from 11 AM to 3 PM. It's a neighborhood walk that puts local and small businesses at the center, with a string of shops and cafes opening their doors for a few hours of shopping and socializing. The whole thing is free and open to all ages, so it works as a low-key Saturday morning with friends or a family outing.
The crawl is built around a long list of participating spots. The Golden Slipper leads the way, and from there you can work your way through ABEDNEGO, Bits & Pieces, Juniper Coffee, Darlin' Lingerie, Wonderland, Poppy & Monroe, Neighborlily, Blue Smoke Jewelry, Germantown Cafe, Little Hats Market, Heart of Wisdom Yoga, and Melty Boy. That's a fair amount of ground to cover in one neighborhood, and since it's a crawl, you can pick your own path and stop at the ones that catch your eye.
Because it's a walk through the neighborhood rather than a single venue, the day is as much about the strolling as it is about the shopping. You'll find a mix of boutiques, cafes, and a yoga studio along the way, and since it's open to all ages, it's easy to bring the kids along. It runs for four hours, which gives you plenty of time to wander without feeling rushed.
