Electronic music duo Sylvan Esso perform live at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville, with general admission standing room only and a VIP upgrade available.
Sylvan Esso play Brooklyn Bowl Nashville on Saturday, March 13, 2027. The duo is Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn, and they're touring their latest album, Ow ∞.
That record took four years to write in the woods of Chapel Hill — the longest they've ever spent on one. They released it through their own label, and the drumming is one of its most distinct features: six different drummers play across the tracks, TJ Maiani, Joe Westerlund, Glenn Kotche, Jake Luppen, Jenn Wasner, and Sanborn himself. Producer James Mapley-Brittle helped shape the final sound.
One of the album's opening tracks, "Entertainment & Coca-Cola," has a chorus that incorporates a recording of a cricket Meath captured on an iPhone voice memo. It's a small detail that points to how the record came together over those four years in the woods.
