Alternative rock band Sugar performs live on their Love You Even Still 2026 World Tour, with special guest J. Robbins from Jawbox.
Sugar play Brooklyn Bowl Nashville on Wednesday, October 21, as part of their Love You Even Still 2026 World Tour. They're joined by J. Robbins, of Jawbox.
If you're coming to this one, it helps to know where Sugar fits. The band formed in late 1991 when Bob Mould, of Hüsker Dü, teamed with bassist David Barbe and drummer Malcolm Travis. Their first show was at the 40 Watt Club in Athens, Georgia. Their debut, Copper Blue, was named NME's 1992 Album of the Year and became a landmark of the era, driven by songs like "A Good Idea," "Helpless," and the alternative rock hit "If I Can't Change Your Mind."
That was followed by the 1993 mini-album Beaster, which debuted at number three on the UK Official Albums Chart, and the 1994 LP File Under: Easy Listening, which reached the upper reaches of the Billboard 200. The band called it a day after a Japanese tour in early 1995, and three decades of reissues and live recordings kept their legacy alive.

This tour is different because they're not just playing the old stuff. The original members reconvened in June 2025 and recorded three new songs: "House Of Dead Memories," "Long Live Love," and "Keep Looping" — their first new material in more than thirty years. Those three will be part of the set, alongside the songs from the early records.
Doors open at 7 PM and the show starts at 8 PM. Tickets are $52 to $68.
