Rayland Baxter - The True Violet Tour

Rayland Baxter is playing The Basement East on Friday, February 5, 2027. He's touring The True Violet, and this is the Nashville stop on that run.

If you've been following him, you know the record he's touring. The True Violet is the one he's been bringing on the road, and the set is built around it. It's a good chance to hear those songs live, the way they were meant to be played, rather than just on a record. He's the sole name on the bill, so it's a straightforward night: one artist, one stage, and the songs from the new album taking center stage.

For those who haven't caught him in a while, Baxter is a songwriter who lets the songs do the heavy lifting. He's not one for a lot of flash, and that's exactly why his live shows work. He keeps the focus on the writing, and The True Violet is a record that rewards that kind of attention. When you see him, you're getting the songs as they are, without a lot of extra noise around them.

It's a Friday night show, and the timing is easy to work around. The set starts at 8 PM, so you've got the whole evening to get there and settle in. If you're planning to go, keep that in mind—it's a Friday, and the show kicks off at 8 PM at The Basement East.
