A community Halloween night in East Nashville with a dog costume contest, themed drinks, and food trucks, supporting Pawster.
Potions and Paws takes over Lost & Found on Thursday, October 22, from 6 PM to 9 PM. It's a community Halloween night in East Nashville hosted by Drinking Buddies, and the whole thing centers on a dog costume contest. If you've got a pup, you dress them up and enter them into the contest, where they'll get their own turn on a doggie runway. The night is open to all ages, so it works as a family outing as much as a night out with friends.
While the dogs are the main event, there's plenty for the humans to do. Drinking Buddies will be serving custom Halloween cocktails, and food trucks will be on site to keep everyone fed. If you don't have a dog to enter, you can still come for dinner and a drink and find a spot to cheer on the contestants as they walk the runway. It's a low-pressure way to spend a Thursday evening in the neighborhood.
The night also does some good. Every costume entry fee, along with a portion of the drink sales, goes to Pawster, which supports dogs and cats in foster care. So whether you're there to see your dog take home a prize or just to watch a bunch of costumed pups strut their stuff, your entry and your drinks are helping animals in the city.
