Nine to twelve Nashville songwriters perform in collaborative rounds at Thistle and Rye, celebrating Music City's songwriting tradition in an intimate acoustic setting.
Thistle & Rye hosts the October Writers' Round on Thursday, October 15, starting at 6:30 PM. It's a celebration of Nashville's songwriting tradition, and the format is a classic one: nine to twelve songwriters share a single stage for three or four collaborative rounds. In each round, they take turns playing their own songs and telling the stories behind them, all in an intimate acoustic setting. Between the songs, you'll hear the writers talk through how the tracks came together, and you'll get to meet them over craft cocktails and bites throughout the night.
Thistle & Rye is on the third floor of the Conrad Nashville, at 1620 West End Ave in Midtown. The space is run by executive chef Andrew Rodriguez, with a beverage-centric menu of globally inspired small plates, an indoor-outdoor bar, a large patio, and windows overlooking downtown. It's a spot that usually hosts live music on Friday and Saturday nights, so this Thursday round is a bit of a mid-week shift in the usual schedule.
