Concert by MICO on his Running From A Feeling Tour, with support from Will Linley, at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville.
MICO brings his Running From A Feeling Tour to Brooklyn Bowl Nashville on Monday, October 26. The Toronto artist, born Miguel Veloso, is 23 and plays an emotionally charged alt-pop rock that pulls from two different eras: the hook-heavy nostalgia of 2000s and 2010s pop punk and the sharper edges of modern hyperpop and alternative music. He built his following online through Discord performances, TikTok, and self-released music before stepping into a global act.
His debut album, When the lights turn on, came out through Columbia Records. He wrote it during a whirlwind year of constant travel and personal upheaval, and the songs work through identity, nostalgia, heartbreak, and the feeling of outgrowing the places and people that once felt like home. That's a lot of ground to cover in one record, and it's the material he's touring behind.
Opening the night is Will Linley, a South African-born singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. His 2021 single "miss me (when you're gone)" went gold and hit number one on South African radio, and it's racked up over 20 million Spotify streams. He's also shared stages with Maroon 5 and OneRepublic, so he's no stranger to playing for a crowd.
