Nashville singer-songwriter Michigander performs live with support from Chapel and Noah Torralba at The Basement East.
Michigander plays The Basement East on Friday, October 23, with Chapel and Noah Torralba opening. He's a Nashville-based singer, songwriter, producer, and guitarist who pairs heartland storytelling with an alternative flare.
If you've followed him for a while, you'll recognize the trajectory. His independent debut single 'Nineties' went viral back in 2016, and the EPs Midland (2018) and Where Do We Go From Here (2019) became fan favorites—'Misery' from those sessions eventually cleared 10 million streams and earned him his first Triple A radio hit. In 2021, the EP Everything Will Be Ok Eventually on C3 Records brought the Top 5 Triple A hit 'Let Down' and the Top 10 hit 'Better.' He's shared the stage with Manchester Orchestra, Band of Horses, The Lumineers, Hippo Campus, and Mt. Joy, and has played festivals like Lollapalooza, Electric Forest, Summerfest, Shaky Knees, and SXSW.
There's new material to hear, too. He released the EP It Will Never Be The Same through C3 Records and a new Singer project in 2024, so the set should pull from those alongside the older songs. Chapel and Noah Torralba are on the bill with him.
