Free in-store kids' DIY workshop where children aged 4 to 11 build a project with a grown-up at a Nashville Lowe's.
Lowe's is hosting another kids' workshop on Saturday, Nov. 14, and this time the project is a toy snowplow. It's a free build that you do together with your mini DIYer, so it's as much for the grown-up as it is for the kid. The workshops are aimed at children ages 4 to 11 and older, and you work side-by-side to put the project together.
If you've been around these for a while, you might recognize them by a few different names. They started as the Lowe's Build and Grow Workshops, then evolved into the MyLowe's Rewards Kids Club, and are also known as the Lowe's DIY Kids' workshop. No matter what they're called, the format is the same: you show up at a Lowe's store in Nashville, grab a kit, and build it right there with your child. It's a low-pressure way to spend a Saturday morning, and you both walk away with something you actually made.
There are a couple of things to keep in mind before you head out. Online registration is required, and the kits run out, so arriving early is a good call. If you end up missing the session, you can still reserve a kit and pick it up at the customer service desk—just make sure you get it by 8 PM on Sunday, or it might go to a customer who didn't register. If you'd rather just do it on your own time, standalone DIY kits are available in-store for around $7 to complete at home.
