Guided hike for all ages at Alvin G. Beaman Park, starting from the Nature Center.
Hike Henry Hollow is a guided walk through Alvin G. Beaman Park on Friday, October 16, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. It's open to all ages, so it works as a morning out with kids or just a slow start to your Friday if you're taking the day off. The hike is led by staff from the Beaman Park Nature Center, who run the park's environmental education and recreation programs.
Beaman Park is a state natural area that sits inside Nashville's Western Highland Rim Forest, and the Nature Center is the jump-off point for more than 2,300 acres of it. The center itself is run by the Nashville Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation, and it's where they host environmental education programs, school field trips, and outdoor recreation alongside its open access. The grounds include a 300-foot accessible boardwalk and a pollinator garden, and there are more than 15 miles of hiking trails to choose from. Hunting is prohibited in the park.
