A fall flower workshop where visitors walk through the nature center meadows to gather inspiration and build their own autumn bouquet.
Warner Park Nature Center is hosting Fall Flower Floray on Thursday, October 15, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. It's a morning spent outdoors: you'll wander through one of the center's meadows to take in the sights and smells of the fall flowers, and then you'll build your own autumn bouquet to take home. The walk is open to all ages, so it works as a family thing as much as a solo outing. Rachel Anderson and Elyse Dilks are the names behind it.
If you haven't spent much time there, the center is a good place to get your bearings on the area. It's a jump-off point for exploring more than 3,100 acres of Nashville's Burch Reserve, Percy Warner and Edwin Warner Parks, and it's a resource for organic gardening and native plant landscaping. The center describes itself as a living laboratory, and it shares that through free programs run throughout the year, school field trips, high school labs, outdoor recreation, and events for all ages. Its mission is to provide quality environmental education and responsible recreation, and to help protect, preserve, restore and manage the park ecosystem.
