Roots-rock band Daring Greatly performs live at The Basement in Nashville, supported by Max Struther.
Daring Greatly play The Basement on Monday, November 16, with Max Struther opening. They're touring their album Let It Ride, and the set will draw from that. The band is a roots-rock outfit formed in 2014 by Canadian brothers Patrick and Liam Croome and drummer Brayden Tario. They started in Calgary and later moved to Southern California, and their sound pulls from classic rock, Americana, soul and country, held together by three-part harmonies.
Their story is built on a fiercely independent streak. Their motorhome burned to the ground before it ever hit the road, but they kept touring, recording and growing on their own, with no label and no management and everything handled in-house. They recorded a demo with members of Lynyrd Skynyrd right here in Nashville and have shared stages with Lainey Wilson, Rodney Atkins, Midland, Young the Giant, Plain White T's, Sublime with Rome and Bon Jovi.
They've picked up a few awards along the way, too. Their song "Never A Goodbye" won Song of the Year in 2023, and they took home Best Video and Best Rock/Indie Song at the 2025 San Diego Music Awards before heading back out on the road for Let It Ride. Max Struther opens the night.
