A weekly gathering at the Riverfront Dog Park where dog owners can connect and let their dogs socialise in the open green space.
Canine Connection is back at Riverfront Park on Thursday, Oct 22, from 5 PM to 6 PM. It's a session for dogs to connect and play, held at the Riverfront Dog Park within the larger park. If you can't make that one, there's another session the following Thursday, Oct 29, also from 5 PM to 6 PM.
The Nashville Downtown Partnership programs the sessions in collaboration with Metro Parks Nashville, and it's part of the free programming that downtown Nashville's parks run every week. The idea is to give dog owners a regular gathering spot to connect with each other while their dogs socialize in one of the city's most open green spaces, set against the Cumberland River and the downtown skyline. It's a low-pressure way to get your dog out among others on a weekday afternoon.
Because it's an outdoor event, the sessions are weather permitting. It's open to everyone, and it pairs up naturally with the park's Thursday Happy Hour Pilates, so if you're already heading downtown for that, you can bring your dog along for this. Both run on Thursday afternoons, one for the humans and one for the dogs.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Nashville and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

Both sessions are free and open to all. You'll find them at the Riverfront Dog Park in Riverfront Park, 100 1st Avenue North, from 5 PM to 6 PM on Thursday, Oct 22, and again on Thursday, Oct 29.
