An intimate acoustic night of music and stories featuring singer-songwriters Corrina, George Carnes and Thomas Baldwin at the historic Neon Steeple venue.
Buddy's Place Writer's Round is back at Chief's on Broadway on Monday, October 19, with Corrina, George Carnes, and Thomas Baldwin taking the stage. It's an acoustic night of songs and stories, and the lineup is curated by Eric Church himself.
If you haven't been, the show happens at Neon Steeple, the two-story concert hall inside Chief's on Broadway in downtown Nashville. The room has a bit of a story to it: the stage was built with wood from a former still on Church's own land, the pews date back to around 1890—the same age as the building itself—and twenty stained-glass windows surround the room, depicting some of Church's biggest influences. It's a space that feels a lot more like a chapel than a standard club, which fits the stripped-back, acoustic nature of the night.
The Writer's Round format is exactly what it sounds like: a few singer-songwriters sharing the stage, playing their songs and talking through the stories behind them. On October 19, that means Corrina, George Carnes, and Thomas Baldwin. It's an up-close way to hear how these songs came together, with the writers themselves filling in the gaps between the music.
