Concert by award-winning singer-songwriter and guitarist Jared James Nichols at Chief's on Broadway.
Jared James Nichols plays Chief's on Broadway on Saturday, December 5, a rare hometown show in the Neon Steeple. Nichols is an award-winning singer-songwriter and guitarist from a small town in Wisconsin who now calls Nashville home, and this is one of the few times he's playing a room this close to where he lives.
He's touring his 2026 album Louder than Fate, released on Frontiers Music SRL. He recorded it at the Foo Fighters' Studio 606 in Los Angeles, with Foo keyboardist Rami Jaffee guesting and drummer Ryan Rice behind Dave Grohl's kit. The record leans song-driven, with upfront vocals and harmonies, though it keeps the big riffs and shredding leads he's known for.
Nichols has been at this for over a decade. He cut his teeth playing on the final stage Stevie Ray Vaughan ever graced, and along the way he's jammed with guitarists like Buddy Guy, Zakk Wylde, Slash, Joe Perry, Joe Bonamassa, Billy Gibbons, and George Thorogood. Gibson named him an official ambassador, issuing signature guitars and a signature Seymour Duncan pickup. He still plays a 1952 Gibson Les Paul he calls 'Dorothy', one of twenty-five prototypes that a fan gave him after it was thrown into a yard by the 2008 Washington, IL tornado.
