Bright Eyes perform their album Lullaby For The Working Class at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville, marking a reunion of the influential Omaha outfit.
Bright Eyes play Brooklyn Bowl Nashville on Monday, October 12, with Lullaby For The Working Class opening each night. The tour is a reunion of the Omaha outfit, bringing back several longtime collaborators and members of the extended Bright Eyes family.
Bright Eyes started in 1995 in an Omaha basement as a recording moniker for then-15-year-old Conor Oberst's work with producer and multi-instrumentalist Mike Mogis. Mogis and composer, arranger, and naturalist Nate Walcott became full members in 2006. Over the past two-plus decades, the band has released a succession of time-capsule LPs, and their songs have been covered by dozens of artists, including Lorde, The Killers, Mac Miller, Phoebe Bridgers, Jason Mraz, and beabadoobee, and sampled by rappers like Young Thug and Lil Peep.
Lullaby For The Working Class features Mogis and Walcott, who play with both bands each night, alongside Cursive's Shane Aspegren, Megan Siebe, and singer-songwriter Ted Stevens, plus Macey Taylor and Tiffany Kowalski. The run also celebrates the 21st anniversary of I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning and Digital Ash in a Digital Urn.
