Country and rock and roll artist Boo Ray performs live at the honky tonk venue Chief's on Broadway.
Boo Ray plays Chief's on Broadway on Wednesday, September 30, starting at 2:30 PM. He's a Nashville artist whose music pulls from rock and roll, southern rock, alternative country, blues, and outlaw country, so the set should cover a fair bit of ground.
If you've caught him around town, you've probably heard his single Broken Hearts Are Paint, which is in rotation on SiriusXM Outlaw Country. He's also put out a series of Muscle Shoals singles that debuted on SiriusXM Tom Petty Radio. He's played the Pilgrimage Festival and Americanafest, and he plays live with his Shod-Hot Nashville Band at Chief's, as well as at Skinny Dennis and Ford Fry's Star Rover Sound.
There's a steady stream of new material coming out of his studio work. He took his full-time honky tonk band to Sol Littlefield's Muscle Shoals Studio, and he's been recording a new single about every six weeks since October 2025. That's a lot of fresh songs to pull from for a live set.

Chief's on Broadway is Eric Church's honky tonk, and it bills itself as a home for some of Nashville's best original talent. The story goes that Church knocked on every door looking for a place to play, and Chief's became the door he wished had existed. The show is on Wednesday, September 30, at 2:30 PM, with free admission.
