Australian metalcore band Bloom live at Cannery Hall.
Bloom play Cannery Hall on Saturday, October 17. They're an Australian metalcore band from Sydney, and their sound pulls from metal, hardcore, post-hardcore and melodic hardcore. They describe their music as drawing on grief, love and exile, pairing emotive lyrics with surging rhythms and memorable hooks.
2024 was their breakout year. They released their debut album, Maybe In Another Life, through Greyscale Records and Pure Noise, and Kerrang! Magazine called them "one of the most exciting and promising metalcore bands to emerge from the country's thriving scene." Since then, they've toured extensively across Australia and debuted live across the US, UK and Europe, with festival appearances at Good Things Festival, UNIFY Gathering and CVLTFEST.
They've been playing a lot of shows lately: 40 concerts in 2026 and 90 in 2025, and they've been featured in outlets like The Guardian, The New York Times, Pitchfork and The Times. If you're searching for them online, keep in mind there are at least fifteen different bands named Bloom, so make sure you're looking at the Sydney metalcore outfit.
