Country soul singer-songwriter Audra Lynn McLaughlin, former member of Team Blake on The Voice, performs live at Odie's.
Audra Lynn McLaughlin plays Odie's on Friday, October 16, at 12 PM. She's a country soul singer and songwriter from Glenolden, Pennsylvania, who first made a name for herself on season 6 of NBC's The Voice. She earned a four-chair turn and made it to the finals with a powerhouse voice and a signature rasp that's hard to mistake. After that, she moved here to Nashville.
Since settling in the city, she's spent as much time writing as she has singing. In 2020, she signed a publishing deal with Jimmy Mattingly and Johnny Garcia, and she's since become a spokesperson for vocal coach Kati Henricks' masterclass series. She's also played the city's listening rooms more than a few times, selling out the Bluebird Cafe and The Listening Room four times each. Her sound pulls from a few different places—mainstream country, country blues, and country and southern soul—and it's that soul influence that usually sits right at the front of her singing.

The show is at Odie's, 1919 Division St, and it's a free one. It starts at 12 PM on Friday, October 16, so it's a midday date rather than a night out. If you're around Nashville on a Friday afternoon and want to hear a voice that's as much about the grit as it is about the range, this is a good place to start.
