Exhibition and sale of over 1,000 handmade ceramic pots, sculptures, and jewelry from local and national artists, with a Winter Open House.
Northern Clay Center opens its Winter Exhibition on Sunday, November 15, in the Main Gallery in Minneapolis. It's one of the center's signature shows, and the scale is what usually sticks with people: more than 1,000 new pots on display at once. The exhibition runs from November 15 through January 3, so it stays open well into the holiday season.
Opening day is a bit more than just a gallery opening. There's a Winter Open House from 12 PM to 4 PM, free and open to everyone. That's when you can buy handmade pots, sculptures, and ceramic jewelry from more than 125 artists, and the center provides complimentary gift wrapping on the spot. If you're more interested in making than buying, the studio is open during the Open House for anyone who wants to work with clay. For those who can't make it in person, the works from the show go live online at 1 PM on opening day.

Beyond the opening day, the gallery keeps regular holiday hours: 10 AM to 5 PM daily, with late nights on Thursdays until 7 PM. With the show running through early January, you've got plenty of time to come back and look a second time after the opening rush.
