Free public lecture by artist and cultural leader Imani Ellis, moderated by Bobby Rogers, in the new The Subject lecture series at the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
Imani Ellis takes the stage at the Minneapolis Institute of Art on Thursday, October 29, as part of The Subject, a new lecture series the museum has put together. The talk runs from 6 to 7 PM in the Pillsbury Auditorium, and it's free and open to the public.
The Subject brings in artists and cultural leaders who've turned their ideas into culture-shifting moments. Each session lasts about 45 minutes and is hosted by Bobby Rogers, Mia's former head of design and editorial. Rogers describes the speakers as people who succeed by meeting obstacles head-on and by using storytelling as a vehicle for collective progress. The talks unpack creative processes, pivotal decisions, and lessons learned, which should offer emerging creatives both inspiration and a practical blueprint.

That means you can grab your spot well in advance if you're planning to be there. The talk is at the Pillsbury Auditorium, inside the Minneapolis Institute of Art at 2400 Third Avenue South, from 6 to 7 PM on Thursday, October 29.
