Monthly open jam hosted by SPACE BETWEEN and Will Effertz at the Hook and Ladder, with a drum set, guitar and bass amps provided.
SPACE BETWEEN is hosting its monthly jam at The Hook and Ladder Theater on Tuesday, October 27, from 7 PM to 10 PM. It's an open jam, which means anyone who plays can jump in and play along with whoever else is on stage. The night is hosted by the non-profit SPACE BETWEEN and Minneapolis local Will Effertz, and it's open to the public.
One of the best parts is that you don't have to lug all your gear down there. A drum set, guitar and bass amps, and other instruments are provided, so you can just show up and play. That said, you're more than welcome to bring your own if you've got a specific sound you prefer. The jam runs every fourth Tuesday of the month at the Hook and Ladder, so if you miss this one, there's another one coming up soon.
There is a small catch to keep in mind: priority for the jam goes to people who attend SPACE BETWEEN's music industry peer group meetup, which happens on the second Tuesday of the month. If you're a musician who also works in the industry, that's a good one to have on your radar.

To get some context on who's behind it, SPACE BETWEEN is a peer-to-peer support program for music industry professionals and everyone who makes the music possible. They work to strengthen the community through workshops, support groups, advocacy, outreach, live performance, and mental health awareness. The organization was founded by Mark Femling, a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC). The jam is one of the ways they bring that community together in person.
The jam is at The Hook and Ladder Theater, 3010 Minnehaha Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55406, on Tuesday, October 27, from 7 PM to 10 PM.
