Shakey Graves, with Wild Pink, plays First Avenue Mainroom on the Fondness, Etc. tour in an 18+ show.
Shakey Graves plays First Avenue on Monday, October 26, with Wild Pink opening. The night is presented by The Current, and it's an 18+ show.
Shakey Graves is the stage name of Alejandro Rose-Garcia, an Austin, Texas native who works across Americana, folk, and rock. He's built his following on a particular kind of fan experience: burning CDs and putting them in personalized, decorated bags; setting up intricate scavenger hunts that send fans searching for unique tapes; and putting out Bandcamp-exclusive releases. In 2024, he marked the ten-year anniversary of And The War Came with a special 10 Year Anniversary Edition of previously unheard demos and b-sides, and released Shakey Graves Is Still A Gentleman From Texas. This stop is part of his Fondness, Etc. tour.
Wild Pink opens the bill. Their songs carry a novelistic impression—characters peering over the edge of potential futures, past mistakes, and paths not taken, backed by a dive bar. Between the two, you've got a night that moves from Rose-Garcia's Americana and folk into Wild Pink's character-driven songwriting.
