A 2000s/Y2K themed dance party with DJs, era-defining visuals, and song requests, with a 2000s dress code.
Hot in Herre is taking over the First Avenue Mainroom on Friday, December 4, for a full-blown 2000s dance party. They describe it as the biggest 2000s/Y2K party in the country, pairing DJs with era-defining visuals to send the room back to the days of away messages, blinged-out flip phones and trucker hats.
The dress code is half the point here. Guests are encouraged to turn up in 2000s gear: fuzzy pink Juicy Couture sweats and bling, Ed Hardy shirts, low-rise jeans, UGG boots and crop tops. If you've still got an old iPod playlist from the era, you can bring it along, as the night takes song requests all night long.
The music runs across the decade's biggest genresโpop, hip-hop, indie, R&B and emoโso it's not just one corner of the 2000s. The floor is 18+.
