Friday night of the Funk Fridays series, with local funk act Big Fat Money playing live at Animales BBQ Co.
Big Fat Money take the stage at Animales BBQ Co. on Friday, November 13, as part of the venue's Funk Friday series. It's a single-act bill, so the whole night belongs to them.
Animales is an independent Minneapolis spot that bills itself as a home for live music, line dancing, artist-hosted karaoke and watch parties. The programming changes weekly, and they run things like Shuck Fest throughout the year. Funk Fridays is their Friday-night series, which puts local acts on stage playing funk. The night is described as "just some Minneapolis dudes playing BBQ music for you."
There's a bit of a milestone going on around the venue right now, too. Animales is celebrating one year as a brick-and-mortar space and eight years of smoking meat in Minneapolis, so the music is part of a larger anniversary for the place.
