Free shoegaze and post-metal show by Ditch Pigeon at the historic 331 Club in northeast Minneapolis.
Ditch Pigeon plays the 331 Club on Sunday, October 25, starting at 9:30 PM. It's part of the October Conspiracy Series, a run of shows the club is putting together throughout the month. The 331 is a historic northeast Minneapolis bar, and this is one of the nights in that series.
If you haven't heard them before, Ditch Pigeon blends shoegaze and post-metal, with melancholy vocals sitting on top. It's a sound that pulls from two different worlds: the wash of noise and reverb from shoegaze and the heavier, slower-moving weight of post-metal. Those two things together usually mean a lot of texture and a fair amount of volume, and the vocals keep it grounded in a more melodic, moody place. It's the kind of set that works as well if you're there to lean into the noise as if you're just listening to the songs.

The 331 Club is also known for its three-day lineup of local acts and a vintage and makers market that runs on Saturday and Sunday, so there's more going on around the venue than just this one show. If you're in the neighborhood on the weekend, you can hit the market and then catch the music. Ditch Pigeon takes the stage at 9:30 PM on Sunday, and entry is free.
