Cindy Lawson, Toilet Rats and Mad Mojo Jett

Cindy Lawson is playing Cloudland Theater on Saturday, October 24, with Toilet Rats and Mad Mojo Jett opening. It's a record release party for her new album, ¡LONG LIVE THE RESISTANCE!, and the night is billed as punk rock. The whole thing is presented by Cloudland, and tickets are sold through the DICE app.

Lawson is a Minneapolis rock group, and her frontwoman started her career right here in the city. Back in the 80s, she led the all-female band the Clams, which broke a few barriers in the local indie rock scene. The band's 2022 record, New Tricks, has since picked up airplay both nationally, on Little Steven's Underground, and internationally. This show marks the release of the new one, ¡LONG LIVE THE RESISTANCE!, so you'll be hearing that material live.

Toilet Rats and Mad Mojo Jett round out the bill, making it a full night of rock rather than a single act. The whole evening is billed as punk rock, and it's a 21+ event. Cloudland is presenting, and tickets go through the DICE app.

Doors open at 7:30 PM, and tickets are $12. Cloudland Theater is at 3533 East Lake Street in Minneapolis.
