A Candlelight tribute to Lizzy McAlpine comes to the Granada Theatre on Saturday, January 9, 2027. It's part of the Candlelight series, which puts a string quartet in a historic space and lights the room with candles. The music of Lizzy McAlpine is the focus, and the quartet playing it is Listeso, based right here in Minneapolis.
The venue is the Granada, an Uptown landmark that opened in 1928 as an atmospheric movie palace in the Spanish Churrigueresque style. Its curved ceiling projects stars and clouds to give the feeling of an outdoor Spanish garden, and it's held onto that character through a contemporary makeover. It's a 600-capacity room, so it's not a massive hall.
One thing to keep in mind: this is a tribute experience, not a performance by McAlpine herself. It's not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the artist, her estate, or her official representatives. The show is recommended for ages 8 and up, and anyone under 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult. Seating is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis within each zone, so if you have a preference for where you sit, getting there early is your best bet.
