Night of sludgegaze, shoegaze and post-punk from Another Heaven, Brief Candles, Flavor Crystals and Bornguesser at the Cloudland Theater, a 21+ event.
Another Heaven headlines a four-band bill at Cloudland Theater on Sunday, October 25, with Brief Candles, Flavor Crystals and Bornguesser filling out the rest of the night. It's a Cloudland presentation, and the lineup pulls from a few different corners of the guitar-heavy side of things.
Another Heaven describes their sound as sludgegaze—heavy and dreamy, coming from the cold wastes. Brief Candles comes in from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and sits in the shoegaze and post-punk camp. Flavor Crystals is a Minneapolis guitar band that calls its work "head music of the highest order." Bornguesser rounds out the bill. Between the sludge, the shoegaze, and the post-punk, it's a night that leans into the louder, more atmospheric end of the spectrum.
