Bar crawl on First Avenue with scavenger hunt, giveaways, and a DJ.
Amplify the Ave! takes over First Avenue on Thursday, October 29, from 4 PM to 8 PM. It's a bar crawl that stretches along First Avenue from 3rd Street to 7th Street, and the Minneapolis Downtown Council is the one putting it on.
The format is a bar crawl, so you'll be moving from one spot to the next along that stretch of First Avenue. Along the way, there's a scavenger hunt to work through, and giveaways to pick up as you go. A DJ will be on hand to keep things moving. It's the kind of afternoon that works as well with a group of friends as it does if you just want to wander through a few different spots on your own.
Since it runs from 3rd to 7th Street, you've got a few blocks of the avenue to cover. The scavenger hunt gives you a reason to hit more than one place, and the giveaways are scattered throughout. With a DJ in the mix, the music follows you from one end of the stretch to the other.
