Phish tribute About to Run and Ween tribute The Wandering Eye play 7th St Entry, the smaller room of First Avenue, with holiday lights from Form Entertainment.
About to Run brings their Phish tribute to the 7th St Entry on Friday, December 18, as part of a double bill they're calling Happy Boognish Holidays. They're a four-piece led by Minnesota jam scene veterans Arthur Hoffman, Arthur Bagley, Mark 'Munchie' Collins and Berek Awend, and they focus on the music of Trey Anastasio. They describe their sound as bringing the sprawling, improvisational landscape of the Phish universe to life with fiery guitar solos, deep-groove funk and soaring melodies.
Sharing the bill is The Wandering Eye, a tribute to Ween that celebrates the breadth and craft of their catalog. It's a polished ensemble featuring Marc Gartman (Glitteratti, DAMIEN), Alan Sparhawk (Low, Derecho) and Tim Saxhaug (Trampled By Turtles), so you've got some familiar local names on the stage. Form Entertainment is handling the lights for the night.

The show is a local affair at the 7th St Entry, the smaller room attached to the historic First Avenue that once served as the Greyhound Cafe in the old Greyhound building. It's an 18+ night, so keep that in mind if you're bringing anyone younger. Doors open at 7 PM and the music starts at 8 PM.
