Historian Lucy Worsley takes audiences behind the velvet ropes of royal Britain on her live tour 'My Royal Life', revealing the hidden stories, scandals and personal insights of monarchs and courtiers.
Dr Lucy Worsley OBE brings her live tour My Royal Life to The Lowry on Sunday 8 November. It's a talk that takes you behind the velvet ropes of royal Britain, travelling from Tudor England through to Georgian splendour. Along the way, she digs into the hidden stories, the scandals, and the personal insights of monarchs and courtiers that don't always make it into the textbooks.
Worsley knows the subject from the inside. She spent more than two decades as Chief Curator at Historic Royal Palaces, where she oversaw sites like the Tower of London, Hampton Court, and Kensington Palace. That's a lot of royal history to draw from, and it's the same expertise she brings to her bestselling books and her BBC and PBS series. In 2019, she won a BAFTA for her documentary Suffragettes with Lucy Worsley, and she was appointed an OBE in 2018 for her services to history and heritage.
