The Classic Rock Show

The Classic Rock Show comes to the Lyric Theatre at Salford Lowry on Saturday 16 January 2027, starting at 19:30. It's a tribute show that looks back over three decades of classic rock, and the setlist covers a fair few of the biggest names from that era.

They're pulling from a wide range of bands, so you'll hear The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, The Eagles, Dire Straits, Meat Loaf, Van Halen, The Who, Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top and Fleetwood Mac. It's a long list, and the songs are played by a live band rather than a single act, so the set moves through different styles of rock rather than sticking to one sound. The whole thing is backed by a multi-million dollar sound and light show, and it all builds to a guitar duel towards the end.

It's a production that's been around for a while, and it's picked up some praise along the way. The London Times called it 'The Best Rock Show On The Planet', the Chicago Tribune described it as 'Utterly Brilliant In Every Way', and YouTube called it 'A Gem Of A Rock Show'. It's also racked up over 150 million views on YouTube, so it's a show that's travelled well beyond any one city.

If you're into the big names of classic rock, this is a good way to hear them all in one night. It's at the Lyric Theatre in Salford on Saturday 16 January 2027, starting at 19:30.
