Free live a cappella festive music from Cottontown, a male a cappella group, at Aviva Studios.
Cottontown are performing at The Social, Aviva Studios on Sunday 13 and Sunday 27 December, two a cappella sets in the heart of the city's St John's district. Both run from 1:15 to 2:15pm, so they're afternoon slots rather than evening ones, and the running time is about an hour each.
Cottontown is a multi-award-winning male a cappella group from Bolton, and they're known for singing heartfelt tunes in close harmony. The whole thing is part of Aviva Studios' festive programme, which brings together local choirs, bands and workshops across the season. The idea is that you can take a break from the Christmas shopping and warm up with a hot chocolate while you're there.
The performances are suitable for all ages, and under-14s need to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. If you're planning to bring the kids, that's something to keep in mind before you book. Both dates are on Sundays, so you've got a choice of the 13th or the 27th if one works better for you than the other.
