Festive Live: Fractal Saxophone Quartet

Fractal Saxophone Quartet play The Social at Aviva Studios on Sunday 13 December, from 5.45pm to 6.45pm. It's part of Festive Live, the series that brings local choirs, bands and workshops into the studios as part of the venue's festive programme. If you're around on New Year's, they're back for a second date on Saturday 2 January, again from 5.45pm to 6.45pm.

Fractal is a Manchester-based saxophone quartet formed by four musicians at the Royal Northern College of Music. Since then they've played a fair range of stages, from Wigmore Hall in London to the Manchester Marathon. 2026 has been a good year for them: they were named RNCM Christopher Rowland Chamber Ensemble of the Year and made the finals of the Royal Over-Seas League Chamber Music Competition.

Both performances run for about an hour and are suitable for all ages, with under-14s needing to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. Entry is free, though you'll need to pre-book through Factory International. Access tickets should be bought directly from them too. The Social is in the St John's part of the studios, M3 4JQ.
